Father’s Day 2026, 2027 and 2028
Father’s Day in Ireland is celebrated on the third Sunday in June. It is not a bank holiday, but is widely observed by much of the population.
In 2026, Father’s Day falls on Sunday 21 June. The observance will be on Sunday 20 June in 2027.

The importance of fathers is well recognised in Ireland, and Father’s Day is as much a time to encourage faithful fatherhood as to celebrate it.
Fathers are often showered with gifts on this day. Many take their father out to eat or bring him breakfast in bed. Many also make use of fine summer weather to take dad out for a picnic or help Dad work in the garden or around the house.
